Waterford is an unincorporated village in Loudoun County, Virginia located along Catoctin Creek. It was established around 1732 by Amos Janney, a Pennsylvania Quaker. Before the American Civil War, it was the second most populous community in Loudoun County after Leesburg. Waterford is a National Historical Landmark and is listed as a National Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.
