"I remember back in the old days..."

A 60s LoveFEST would not have had food and trinket vendors, ATMs or $8 cups of Heineken. This one did.

When the floats got to the Plaza, the non stop dancing, writhing and gyrating began.

This was before it really got crowded.

A camera man gets some footage from the float.

"All WE need is love"?

It takes all kinds - and I'm glad!

Another weird looking float.

Lotsa Pretty Party Girls.

Lucky guy...

These two were acting out some sort of story, probably having to do with latest uproar at City Hall.

This guy had some wild hair which did not go unnoticed by a coupla teeny-boppers.

These two were so bright they were hard to look at.

Hoola-hoops were everywhere that day. Apparently the latest craze.

PARTY!!

One thing that I thought about later was the fact there was not one live band. It was all DJs and canned music.

Interesting back drop for a party.

What can I say...?

Mom and her little princess.

I wonder if these two showed the picture to mom and dad? Actually, it probably went up on MySpace the same day.

Apparently there is some connection to Peace and Freedom and getting naked.

Wild and Crazy! New Orleans got nothin' on this!

Psychedelic ecstatic skater.

Doin' The Nasty!

The posing never ended.

This pose was actually arranged by the boys father who wanted to get a picture. I piggy-backed on the opp.

By 4:30 I had about as much as I could stand and decided to head back to the relative quiet of the apartment.

I am not sure when, but at some point the entire area was cordoned off and donations for entry were being requested. However, no one was turned away.

What a day!
