The greatest value of Chamber
membership is derived from its successful programs to
solicit new business and improve the economic climate and
quality of life in Lamar County. These programs lead to a
healthy, expanding economy which creates more demand for
goods and services and ultimately benefits every business
and professional person in the area.
There are also direct services to members to meet the
specific needs of business. These include:
Providing tools to boost your profits that include
statistical data and research business seminars, ,listing in
the Chamber's Business Directory and Newcomer's Guide,
business leads, and the "Shop At Home" campaigns. When the
Chamber is contacted for referrals, only Chamber names are
provided.
Making your voice heard in the decisions that affect your
business. The Chamber's Public Affairs Committee works on
issues in Austin and Washington that help foster a good
business climate.
Gaining strength in numbers for support of activities in
behalf of business. At the Chamber, you will find many
like-minded business people who are ready to work for what
they feel will benefit the community.
Improving the quality of life by improving education,
supporting cultural and recreational programs, working for
better highways, and other important community needs.

becoming involved in one of the many action oriented program
areas.

working to make Lamar County a better place to live and
work.
Being better informed through a monthly newsletter, "The
Business Center Report", special bulletins, breakfast
meetings, interesting programs, and timely mailings on
subjects of vital interest to your business.

opportunities through attending Chamber functions such as
Business After Hours, breakfast, special luncheons and
events, and Ambassador events such as grand openings and
ground breakings.

seminars and workshops.

membership roster, Visitor and Newcomer Guide, Manufacturers
Guide, calendar of Events, city maps, and promotional
