Old Mill Trade Days is held on the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of
each month. Regional in nature, trade days is home to approximately 500 vendors
featuring Antiques, Arts and Crafts, Concessions, and Entertainment. It draws
a crowd of shoppers numbering 5,000 to 7,000 each month. ·
Garza Theater is located in a historic downtown theater in Post. This community-type
theater presents numerous plays and performances throughout each year. In 2002
the theater has plans for twelve different plays or musical performances. ·
Tabana Yuane - began in 1906, this Native-American ceremony is held on
March 22nd of each year. It is to determine the anticipated rainfall and other
conditions for the next growing season. ·
Celebration in the Park - each July 4th Post has a community-wide celebration
in which origins of the United States are celebrated. ·
Post Stampede Rodeo - is held in August of each year and features the athletic
talents in numerous events of area cowboys and cowgirls. ·
Founders Day - this celebration honors the founders and settlers of early-day
Post. Typical activities are downtown vendor booths, roping, musical performances,
a sanctioned Bar B Q cookoff, and dinner/dance. ·
Lighted Christmas Parade - this graded event is held in December of each
year. It is highlighted by vehicles, floats, and other entries lighted and decorated
with a Christmas theme to complement the Christmas lights in historic downtown
Post. ·
Cycle Ranch - for ATV's, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes, Cycle Ranch is
a privately owned 2,500 acre tract, part of a historic Texas ranch. The ranch
has over 40 miles of groomed trails through some of the most scenic terrain in

Tourism and Commerce Bureau: this voluntary organization of citizens is
devoted to the development and promotion of Post. Any responsible person from
Post or from the region is eligible to become a member. Basic dues are $36.00
per individual per year and $120.00 per business per year. |
