The Nymphs

Gator1,

I have rewritten the article on this band so as to establish their notability. I would be grateful if you could have a look. Capitalistroadster 07:19, 29 October 2005 (UTC)

Frank Davis

I had voted on that AFD but my vote had been deleted by the vandal. I've restored it (as well as his first vote). --howcheng [ talkcontribsweb ] 18:44, 31 October 2005 (UTC)

User:AdelaMae

Thanks for alerting me to this problem. I made a note of it on Wikipedia:Administrator's noticeboard as I'm a little strapped for time at the moment. In the future, feel free to post urgent/serious matters like this one directly to the noticeboard. android79 14:35, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the help. I can always count on you.Gator(talk) 14:45, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

I see you're also a fan of my talk page header. :-) android79 16:27, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

My user and talk pages are nothing more than the product of many months of scavenging.Gator(talk) 16:38, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Speaking of your user page, I just noticed that you have lost a puppy. My condolences. I know how tough that is – losing a brand-new "kid" is almost as hard as losing an old friend. One winter my dad iscovered a shivering black lab puppy under our shed; our only guess is someone dropped off an unwanted pet. We coaxed her back to health only to lose her a few months later to some unknown illness.

I see you have plenty of furry friends to help you cope, though. :-) android79 16:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for the condolences, Android. That's very thoughtful of you. It's been hard, but my wife and I are enduring the loss. It's only barely been two weeks but we both feel like it has been MUCH longer. Strange how that is. See you around.Gator(talk) 18:26, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Maine Coon pictures

In response to your question on my talk page, I agree that the number of pictures could easily get out of hand.... I think that keeping the lead image along with three at the bottom would make for a good page format, but I also think there are problems with all of the images currently at the the bottom. A couple of them are illustrative (of size and variety), but none of them are particularly good pics. The image marked "A typical Maine Coon cat" isn't too bad, but it is entirely superfluous while the others remain. The image illustating "The Maine Coon's "ruff" isn't really necessary, since the ruff is clearly visible in the lead image.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful, and I wish you luck in finding a solution which is acceptable to all concerned. Personally, I won't mind in the least if you delete any or all of the bottom images. TheMadBaron 15:17, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for your opinion. I'll propose a solution on the talk page and see if anyone objects. If not then I'll just choose three and go from there.

Admin

Actually, Gator, it pleases me to hear you say that. One day I would like to consider the responsibility. However, I feel I have a great deal to learn before taking on such a project, and now that I am working, I have little time. I do not have a hard on for the position. However, one day that may change.

My edit history betrays my interest in writing, writing, writing and editing, editing, editing what I wrote. For the moment I'd like my contribution to be new articles and GFDL photo donations (see the wonderful ones I got for Mabel Mercer).

Thanks, though, for mentioning it.

Maine Coon Gallery

Thank you for adding the Maine Coon Gallery! I've added a photo of my cat now - he sleeps most of the day, so it's appropriate that he looks half asleep in the photo :) -- All the best, Nickj (t) 23:45, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

My RFA

Thank you very much for supporting my rather contentious request for adminship, but now that I've been promoted, I'd like to do a little dance here *DANCES*. If you have any specific issues/problems with me, please feel free to state them on my talk page so that I can work to prevent them in the future, and thanks once again!  ALKIVAR 07:44, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
