The New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning associated with the Southern Baptist Convention, located at 3939 Gentilly Boulevard in New Orleans, Louisiana.

During the May 16-21, 1917 Southern Baptist Convention meeting in New Orleans, the Convention directly founded the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS). The future seminary's purpose centered in missionwork. The SBC, in 1917, originally named the seminary the Baptist Bible Institute. On May 17, 1946, the SBC approved the institute's name change to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with the attendant changes in the school's charter to make it into a seminary.

Doctor's, Master's, Bachelor's, and Associate's degrees are offered. Dr. Charles Kelley is the current President of the seminary.

Though mostly above sea level, the Seminary's campus was among the victims the August 2005 Hurricane Katrina. Within a few days, temporary offices were established in Decatur, Georgia.
