ConocoPhillips NYSE: COP was founded by the merger of the Conoco Inc. and Phillips Petroleum Company on August 30, 2002.

It is an international energy company with its headquarters located in Houston. It operates Conoco, Phillips 66, and Union 76 (which it bought from Unocal) retail gas stations.
