The Bolen Bluff Trail starts high and dry and descends into the Prairie. This standing water almost turned me back but I decided to go ahead and plunge in. I was rewarded by being able to see and hear an Osprey perched in a small tree and was able to put the binoculars on it while it was calling. This persistent and raucous call is one I have been hearing nearly everyday since I first heard it in Okefenokee.

I also saw 4 White-tailed deer. A common occurrence for me. But seeing them forage and then dash for cover in the wet Prairie made it a whole new experience.
