Ferde Grofé (New York City, March 27, 1892Santa Monica, California, April 3, 1972) was an American composer, pianist, and arranger.

He did many arrangements for Paul Whiteman and his orchestra, the most notable being his arrangement of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

His works include Grand Canyon Suite, Sonata for Flute and Bicycle Pump, Hollywood Suite, Niagara Falls Suite, Mississippi Suite, Broadway at Night, Metropolis: a Fantasy in Blue, A Symphony in Steel, Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D, and Death Valley Suite.

His monumental Grand Canyon Suite is his best known work, a masterpiece in orchestration and evocation of mood and location.
